Time, world-lines and the MWI
Time does not flow. Reality is a huge set of frozen moments, and your consciousness steps across them about four times a second. That stepping is what you call time, and a "slide" is a step sideways.

A soul is a cloud of organised "quanta". A consciousness is the slice of it plugged into a body. The human body here is an engineered "inmate suit" that lets only a fifth to a third of you in, and makes you forget the rest.
