In one breath

You did not arrive at random. Before birth, the material says, your consciousness sat down with its guides (the Mantids) and its soul group and agreed a route through the world-lines: which cluster of worlds to enter, where to start, which big events must happen, where the "hills" go. That route is the pre-birth world-line template. Riding it without steering is a "fated life". Steering is possible (part 5), but the template acts like a groove: leave it and you drift back unless you keep pushing.

What a template is

MM draws the template as terrain. Flat ground is your comfort zone, the default path you would follow if you never made an effort. Hills and mountains are the events that take effort, or that the route deliberately makes hard. Some points are fixed no matter what: ΨORM lists "birth, death, and signposts" as the events that are "set in stone". A signpost is not one exact world-line but "a region of world-lines that you must pass through": you can rearrange the furniture, but the event still happens.

birth signpost signpost death flat = comfort zone, the default path hills = effort, trials, deviations fixed points: birth, death and the signposts must happen; everything between them can be moved (ΨORM XIV: "you can rearrange the furniture, but the event will still happen")
Terrain with fixed points. MM's World-line templates: the true nature of the MWI gives the terrain picture; his template-map articles add reading rules (above the surface means your will is beating a world-line's inertia, below it means you are being pulled under by illness or society; left is more freedom, right is less). ΨORM gives the "set in stone" list.

Who draws it

  1. The life review. After a death you review the life you just had, "and are judged on how you handled" its events. That review maps what the next life needs. (MM, following Newton's books; "every religion has a version".)
  2. The Mantids present options. Your soul needs specific quanta entangled. The Mantids offer an array of situations: undo past mistakes, new associations, finish half-done things. Their senior layer, the Mantid Primes, set the overall curriculum, and the Commander says their taste runs to "growth through strife".
  3. Choose a cluster, then a start point. First a cluster of world-lines is chosen (a world with this or that history), then the injection point: the body, the family, the time. Hills and flat areas are then placed "to corral you".
  4. Everyone signs. The template is made "by mutual agreement" between you, the Mantids and other discarnate people in your group. The Commander is blunt about the consequence: your future "is established at injection; birth", and only slides or affirmation results change it.
  5. The body comes with a fate. MM uses Chinese BaZi astrology to describe how the birth moment sets starting attributes, "similar to a role playing game", plus periodic "stars" that make some years easy and some hard. The Commander's definitions: fate is the gravitational influence on the body (favour or disfavour); destiny is the template itself.

Not everyone had it hard

MM says the people who have had "easy" lives of power, life after life, are often service-to-self souls who ignored the Mantids' advice and built their own templates for pleasure and power, and are "forgiven" at death anyway. The Commander adds that some entities use the prison purely for entertainment, building "never-ending bouts of recurring terror" for others. This is part of why The Domain treats the curriculum as broken (part 7).

Why you drift back

MM's later articles explain the pull of the template with a picture of consciousness as a set of components. Each component is attracted to a certain flavour of experience ("breezes, thicknesses, colours, scents"), and the mix of components is what defines the shape of your template. That is why the same kind of situation keeps turning up in a life: the same kind of boss, the same kind of breakdown, the same kind of person. After any slide the components tug you back toward the terrain they were built for, "so keep campaigning".

the template (a thick slab, not a thin line) a slide off the template another slide pulled back by your own components, unless you keep steering
The groove. MM: "thoughts alone, without any further actions, can navigate upon the pre-birth world-line template. It is what is known as a fated life." Spoken affirmations can move you within the slab and to nearby targets just off it; a full "slide" replaces the template with one you define, which is where unintended consequences come from.

Signposts, premonitions and the older you

  • Premonitions are signposts seen early. MM's summary: "Premonition = consciousness observation of a soul's sign-post. Signposts = telltales on a life-line." You can ask for them in an affirmation campaign and they will come when useful.
  • Noticing a slide is itself a signpost. The Commander (part 10): most people notice a handful of world-line switches in a life and shrug them off; the moment of noticing "is actually a signpost in the pre-birth world-line template".
  • Visits from an older self. About 15 to 17 percent of people experience a visit or a vivid dream of themselves much older. The Commander says this is a planned memory implant: a holographic projection of the probable future self, occupied by a fractional consciousness, used where a normal signpost would not do.
  • Overlays. Not everyone on your line is a shadow. Loved ones, pets and your "consciousness community" ride with you, and so can selfish people who overlay their template on yours. MM's tell: an emotion that comes from an overlay cannot be calmed.
  • Templates can be tampered with. The Commander confirmed one reader's suspicion that someone had altered his template, said a Domain task team had "vacuumed up the debris", and that the revised template was different but "not really a horrific one". Curses, in the Commander's definition, are exactly this kind of alteration.

The three layers of template

In September 2021 MM wrote that something had changed at the top of the hierarchy. He uses a word-processor analogy.

Master template
"The source code for consciousness movement in our reality universe." Established by the Old Empire with all the prison features built in. MM says his still-active implants told him that in September 2021 it shifted permanently, "into the plastic region", something he never saw in his MAJestic career.
Pre-birth template
Your fated life, generated from the master template with your guides.
Your template map
The route you write yourself by directed thought. It replaces the pre-birth one for as long as you maintain it.
Individual world-lines
The frozen frames you actually step through, four a second.

What MM expects from the 2021 change is subtle: the past and the terrain stay the same, but "how consciousness interacts with reality" changes: easier lucid dreaming, faster affirmation results, more slides and PSI, longer lifespans, more Mantid contact. Two years later the Commander said the memory-erasure tunnel itself had been "adjusted, culled, deactivated, rendered impotent" (part 6). claims, 2021 and 2024

Remember

  • Your route was drawn before birth, by agreement, with fixed signposts.
  • Riding it without steering feels like fate. Thought alone keeps you on it; spoken intention moves you along and beside it; a slide replaces it.
  • The template pulls you back because it is shaped by your own consciousness components.
  • The Commander's rule of thumb: the future is fixed at birth unless slides or affirmation campaigns change it.
