In one breath
Parts 6 and 7 told you what happens at death and who runs the way station. This part opens the hood. In MM's account a soul is a lattice of quantum clumps he calls garbons, wired together by swales, with 22 main exchange lanes in a human and a control connection into the body at the pineal gland. Humans have an individual soul, cats and dogs a hive soul, Type-1 Greys a matrix. A soul never puts all of itself into one life: a few per cent to forty, MM says his own is set at 35. Then comes the map. MM reprints Michael Newton's two books on life between lives and annotates them line by line, agreeing with the geography (tunnel, homecoming, healing, guides, library, council, life selection) and correcting the assumption that everyone shares one world. The Mantids draw the next life; a cat in a shallow bowl of sleeping kittens is where MM says he first saw any of this.
One word, several places
MM uses "Heaven" loosely on purpose: "for now, I will just keep it simple and use that term to refer to EVERYTHING outside of a given world-line." Then he narrows it. Each species has "its own region within a universe", treated as a universe of its own, so there is an Earth Human Heaven, a cat Heaven, a dog Heaven. The human one is special in a bad way: it "services the Sentience Nurseries (prison planets)" and is the place the tunnel of light leads to (part 6). The pipe between a soul in Heaven and a body on Earth cannot be a plain pipe, because the two places run on different stuff: "think of Heaven as a place full of water, and the earth as a place full of electricity". Consciousness is the converter in the middle, "a tunnel that bores from Heaven to our physical reality".
What a soul is made of
This is the most technical thing MM ever wrote about the non-physical, and it comes from his 2018 cat article, not from the Commander. Everything is quanta. Experience makes quanta clump; a stable clump is a garbon, "a stable discrete cluster of organized quanta". Garbons connect to each other through swales, and the whole wiring is a lattice or "matrix", a term he says MAJestic used in the mid-1980s before the film borrowed it.
Why humans forget their past lives and cats do not follows from this. The human soul is an "intermediary form" that must "grow in a nursery" toward "a stable archetype", so "our memories of previous life incarnations are intentionally withheld from us so that we can develop and grow". Cats and dogs have a stable configuration and "are fully aware of their previous incarnations". Later, in the Newton notes, he puts it more bluntly: "How can you learn through your mistakes when you remember 10,000 past lives and 100,000 similar mistakes?"
Three kinds of soul
A soul never comes all at once
Newton's clients say a soul is "not totally discarnated" when it takes a body. MM's note: "A soul partitions itself into various consciousnesses. It assigns a percentage of itself into that consciousness. Which can vary from 5% up to 40%. In this life, for me, I actually happen to know that my earth consciousness as Metallicman is set at 35%, which is considered to be very high." The other 65 per cent stays in Heaven. A soul can also run two consciousnesses at once, in two bodies, possibly on different world-lines: "rapid growth in a smaller instance of time", but "ill advised". Every past life, he adds, can be treated as one unified consciousness "if it is your desire"; most souls keep them separate to build a base personality.
The map, and MM's notes in the margin
Dr Michael Newton was a hypnotherapist who regressed clients past their last death and recorded what they said about the time between lives. MM posts both books in full, then re-posts Journey of Souls as a five-part "study guide" with his own comments in boxes. His reason: the book "was written by an imperfect person" who assumed "two consciousnesses would occupy the same world-line simultaneously", which is "wrong, or at best, partially true". His image for the pairing: the book describes the feelings of people inside a car; his notes describe "the operation of the car wash". ΨORM (part 14) later folds the same geography into its own model as sections 28 and 29.
What MM says he remembers himself
- No tunnel, a fog. "There is absolutely a static filled, cloudy, foggy field that surround the earth. I well remember this field and how my memories gradually disappeared as I entered it." The light was "a parting of the fog rather than a clear and direct" tunnel.
- Elders and guardians. His knowledge "suggest a life in and about Heaven. To include meeting elders, guardian angels, and other important beings", though the details are gone.
- A past-life regression, around 2000. Under hypnosis, in a recliner in the hypnotist's den, he recalled a last life as a man named Klingsmith who "died at 34 years of age" and "wasn't smart". This was before his MAJestic memories were unlocked, and he offers the session's statements as an independent check on them.
- The Rhino dream. Four days after a university friend died on the football field, MM and two friends "all suddenly woke up" at 3 am having had the same dream of him saying he was fine.
- The remote-viewed tunnel. In 2022 he shared a video of remote viewers describing the tunnel as a harvesting mechanism; Daegonmagus (part 33) wrote back "This is very, very similar to my experiences." MM's own comment was more careful: "I really don't know what to think."
How the next life gets drawn
The film reviews are part of the lesson. Defending Your Life gets the sequence right, in MM's view: "Birth in a body. Obtain experiences. Die. Life review. Map out what is next... Repeat." What Dreams May Come gets the scenery right and misses the review, and prompts his most useful correction: a newly dead consciousness "is really not in Heaven". It is on its exit template, "the MWI topographical map that your consciousness was on and following at the time of your death", still moving through lines, only in wave form. Animals, he adds, "do not enter a tunnel of light and retain their memories and self". Humans enter and lose them.
Cat Heaven, where the series began
Everything above was written in 2020 and 2021. The 18,000-word cat article came first, in 2018, and it is stories, not theory. A mother cat, dead, sending MM's wife into a panic on a stormy night until they found and fed a lost kitten. A cat killed in the woods, whose death MM felt as a sudden image of a large black dog. A kitten called Snowball who lived on MM's shoulder, followed him across the street "like a laser beam" and was killed by a speeding SUV; from the "startle" of that moment until late in the night MM felt him "spinning around and around my neck". Days later came what he calls a "special" dream.
Two later articles turn the stories into advice. Pets can follow you across world-lines while you are alive, because love "has quantum components that plug into our very bodies" and two entangled consciousnesses navigate together, "with the dominant personality taking on the majority". After death there are three ways to find them: will yourself to the pet on the exit template (dogs will sense you but stay physical; cats "can enter and leave the physical body at will" and join you); will yourself toward their Heaven and, if your "quantum alignments" stop you at the door, ask for help (he suggests a Type-1 Grey, and warns to be careful who offers); or accept the Mantid's "parole" for a visit once you are in the human Heaven. And prepare now, with a line or two in your campaign: "Upon my death, I will be able to meet with my beloved XXXXXXX."
Where consciousness came from: two answers
IS-BEs "have been around since before the beginning"; the physical universe was made later. No growth is needed; the whole idea of Heaven and an afterlife is "part of the hypnotic suggestion". Escape is the goal.
"Consciousness is constructed in human Heaven" and needs reincarnation to accumulate quanta and reach a stable archetype. The nursery is real and the curriculum has a purpose.
The earliest consciousnesses "could be considered part of The Domain"; others formed piecemeal in other universes. But "as elaborate as the idea of Heaven is, I simply cannot reconcile the need for amnesia as part of" it. That doubt is the hinge between parts 7 and 8.
He reprints Jim Tucker's and others' cases (James Leininger the pilot, the Pollock twins, Shanti Devi) and fits them to the model: a consciousness "stuck in a wave form" must find an infant that is "empty" and has a usable future.
Read with care
The soul anatomy (garbons, swales, 22 lanes, the pineal plug) is MM's own 2018 account, offered with the line "I just didn't pull all this information out of my ass. It came from somewhere", and it is not corroborated by the Commander sessions except in passing (the reform program "reconfigures garbons and swales", part 7). The Newton books are a third party's hypnosis research; MM endorses the geography and rejects the shared-world assumption. The 144-per-second figure conflicts with the four-per-second figure he uses everywhere else; both are his.
Remember
- A soul is a lattice: garbons joined by swales, plugged into the body at the pineal gland.
- Individual, hive, matrix. Humans forget on purpose; cats remember and can switch bodies.
- You are 5 to 40 per cent of your soul; the rest stays in Heaven.
- Newton's map holds (tunnel, homecoming, council, life selection); the single shared world does not.
- The Mantids draw the next route; loved ones and pets write themselves into it.
